Scale Up Milwaukee will hold a pilot program this fall to help small companies ramp up sales, but how much of an impact might it have?

The two-month program is part of the Scale Up Milwaukee initiative led by Dan Isenberg, entrepreneurship professor at Babson College in Massachusetts. Scale Up Milwaukee is working with a broad coalition to develop a blueprint for the city to increase the formation of startups and grow existing ventures.

Milwaukee and Colombia are obviously thousands of miles apart and have different business climates, but preliminary results from a similar sales accelerator program organized by Isenberg and colleagues in Manizales, Colombia, at least gives a flavor of how Milwaukee’s “scalerator” program could help local companies.
