Milwaukee co-working space Bucketworks will relocate to The Shops of Grand Avenue on Tuesday, The Business Journal has learned.
Bucketworks recently raised nearly $22,000 in a single day to cover rent expenses at its previous location in the Walker’s Point neighborhood. Despite beating its $18,000 goal, the landlord at 706 S. Fifth St. decided not to negotiate with Bucketworks to remain in the space, the group said.
Now it will operate in the 6,800 square feet of workspace formerly occupied by Open MiKE, said Tracy Korpela, The Shops of Grand Avenue assistant general manager. Open MiKE is part of the Greater Milwaukee Committee’s Innovation in Milwaukee, or MiKE, initiative.
